• Dreamland Barbecue goes up in flames

PEACHTREE CORNERS, Ga. - Gwinnett County firefighters are on the scene of a massive fire at a barbecue restaurant in Peachtree Corners.

Late Wednesday afternoon, the Dreamland Barbeque Restaurant on Peachtree Parkway went up in flames.

Gwinnett County firefighters were able to get the flames under control, but the fire caused extensive damage to the business.

Witnesses told Channel 2's Dave Huddleston that the fire may have started near the roof, but fire investigators are still trying to determine the cause.

Channel 2 Action News viewer Libby Bishop shot cellphone video of the fire when it was at its peak.

The video showed flames rising high into the air as firefighters battled to contain the fire.

Bishop said she was one of the first people at the restaurant after the fire started. She said she works in a business in the strip mall where the restaurant was located.

Fire investigators remain at the business as they continue to try and figure out how the restaurant caught fire.

Huddleston said there were no injuries reported in the incident.
