GBI officials said Douglasville officers were attempting to arrest someone when "a struggle ensued."

A spokesperson said a GSP trooper used a Taser during the struggle and a Douglasville police officer accidentally discharged his gun, shooting the suspect.

The suspect was taken into custody and transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The GBI identified him as 28-year-old Pedtro Santillan.

Santillan is being held on meth trafficking charges at the Douglas County Detention Center.
