• Doraville police rescue injured owl near Waffle House


    DORAVILLE, Ga. - Police in Doraville got an unusual call today – to help rescue an injured owl at a Waffle House.

    Officers were called out to the restaurant on Tilly Mill Rd and Peachtree Industrial just after 3 p.m. and captured the Barred Owl, nicknamed Steve.

    The officers then contacted Chattahoochee Nature Center in Roswell and were able to transport the owl.

    Steve was released to the nature center on its own recognizance and said to be in good hands as he makes his recovery.
