• SUV impounded in search for driver who intentionally hit cyclist

    Updated:

ATLANTA - Atlanta police have located an SUV that may have been involved in a hit-and-run with a bicyclist.

Police impounded a red Dodge Nitro on Monday. The SUV matches the description of one involved in an aggravated assault earlier in June.

Police say the driver hit and dragged bicyclist Greg Germani on Flagler Avenue. Witnesses said the two had a verbal altercation, and the driver turned around to intentionally hit Germani before driving off.

Germani is being treated at Grady Memorial Hospital.
