COBB COUNTY, Ga. — The Atlanta Braves are bringing back a fan-favorite event with the return of Braves Fest this Saturday.

The event features panels, player autographs, photo opportunities, and special events for families to enjoy at Truist Park. But this year’s event will also include auditions to become the new “Voice of the Braves.”

The previous Braves public address announcer Casey Motter passed away last year. The Braves honored Motter throughout the rest of the 2022 season

The Braves opened up submissions to become the new PA announcer after the season ended in October. So far, the team has received 135 audition videos, but they are hosting live auditions on Saturday.

Those interested in the job can head to an interactive booth on the lower level concourse to read a script and hear their voice on the stadium speakers.

All submissions are due by Sunday. The team will then narrow them down to a group of finalists. The Braves fans will have a say in which finalist is selected as the new PA announcer.

Atlanta begins the 2023 season on the road against the Washington Nationals. The new PA announcer will debut during the home opener on April 6 against the San Diego Padres.
