ATLANTA — Rain continues to push through the metro Atlanta area and more is expected overnight.

A flash flood watch is in effect through Wednesday afternoon. A flash flood warning was issued for Troup County until 3:45 a.m.

We’re timing when the rain will clear before another round moves in, on Channel 2 Action News This Morning, starting at 4:30 a.m.

Here is what you need to know:

Rain will become heavier Tuesday night into early Wednesday morning.
Wednesday will be cooler and a bit drier with only scattered showers.
There is a potential for wintry mix of wet snow and rain on Thursday.

I want to give you a heads up that we're tracking the potential for rain changing to a wintry mix of wet snow and rain -- especially in the north Georgia mountains -- on Thursday.
