“I just ran over there and just started knocking on everybody’s door trying to get them out of there,” witness Yusef Thorne told Channel 2′s Elizabeth Rawlins.
Daniels said everyone was evacuated from the building and there are no reported injuries.
“The entire roof is gone, it’s collapsed in,” a witness named Moriah said.

The Red Cross is now helping after nearly 40 units were damaged.
At one point, first responders shut down Roxboro Road south of East Paces Ferry.
“I’m glad I did go to the other apartments because it started spreading,” Thorne said.
“The top floor is gone. The middle floor is flooding and it’s going down into the bottom floor,” Moriah said.
It’s still unclear what caused the fire, but investigators say it started on the third floor, which is the top floor of the building.
