DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. - Police said a man drove himself to the Dekalb County Jail to confess to the murder of a victim in his car.
Channel 2's Steve Gehlbach was in DeKalb County, where police said that the woman was found shot in the passenger seat of the vehicle Friday morning.
The victim was dead when officers arrived at the scene at the jail parking lot, police said. The man was arrested at the scene.

Police say the driver pulled up around 5:15 a.m. and went to the first uniformed officer he found.
"That just happened to be a deputy from Spalding County," Lt. Matt Ferreira, with the DeKalb Count Police Department, said. "He'd just driven up and pulled around to the rear entrance because he was here to pick up an inmate for transport back to Spalding County."
Ferreira said the deputy discovered the woman dead and placed the man in handcuffs.
Police said both the suspect and victim are in their late 50s or early 60s.
Police aren't sure where the shooting happened but said that it didn't happen at the jail.
“The physical evidence at this time suggests the incident itself took place inside the car. We’re just working to identify where that car was at," Ferreira said.
Police are working to determine the relationship between the suspect and the victim.
The Sheriff's Office said there was never any threat to jail visitors, employees or inmates.
