DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. — Police are working a strange chase that ended with a man jumping from a speeding car.
NewsChopper 2 flew over the scene near Interstate 285 and Flat Shoals Road in DeKalb County Tuesday afternoon.
Channel 2's Alyssa Hyman was there as police released information about how the multi-county chase.
Authorities are searching for one person in the chase.
Police said authorities first tried to pull over the car in Clayton County to make an arrest, but the driver refused to stop and sped off onto I-285. Georgia State Patrol chased the car.
At some point, passengers "exited" the speeding vehicle onto the I-675. That person was seriously injured.

The car continued and eventually got off at Flat Shoals Road. GSP ended the chase by crashing into the car.
"There were a total of four suspects, one suspect, as we know, is in the hospital recovering. Two suspects are at headquarters right now undergoing questioning, and one suspect unfortunately escaped police," said DeKalb County Spokesperson Michaela Vincent.
