DeKalb County making COVID-19 at-home test kits available at health centers on Monday

DECATUR, Ga. — At-home Covid-19 tests will be available for DeKalb County residents on Monday.

Per the county’s Board of Health, free over the counter COVID-19 test kits will be available at all regional health center locations.

No health insurance information or identification checks are required.

“Testing is an invaluable tool that helps reduce the spread of COVID-19 in our communities,” DeKalb District Health Director Sandra J. Valenciano said. “Take a COVID-19 test if you start having symptoms, if you’ve been in close contact with someone with COVID-19, or if you’re going to gather with a group of people and want to make sure you’re not infected to protect others. We’re happy to be able to increase access to this valuable resource, as we continue our efforts against COVID-19.”

In the event of a positive COVID-19 test or exposure to someone with COVID-19, instructions for isolation (for positive individuals) and quarantine (for exposed individuals) can be found in English and Spanish on the Board of Health’s website.
