Koen died Sunday after an argument at a home on Hunter Road in Powder Springs.
“(A witness) said he was right beside the guy, just like you and me. He said the guy pulled a gun out and started shooting. (Ty) was trying to run when gunshots went off. Somebody through the window shot him. They said he made it to the car, and somebody ran to the car and shot him again,” his father, Rodney Koen, told Channel 2’s Chris Jose on Monday.
Rodney Koen said his son was working on his GED so he could become a U.S. Marine.
Family members say more arrests are possible and a reward of up to $2,000 is being offered for information leading to those additional arrests.
