2 taken to hospital after chase ends on I-75 ramp

COBB COUNTY, Ga. — Channel 2 Action News has learned a chase has blocked an exit ramp on I-75 SB in Cobb County.

The incident happened around 11 a.m. on Chastain Road.

Police told Channel 2's Chris Jose the chase started on Wade Green Road, while the driver was going 81 in a 55. The chase lasted for about a mile and a patrol sergeant told Jose the state trooper had his emergency lights on but the Audi kept on going, and lost control near the intersection.

The Audi smashed head-on into a utility pole.
