Clues sought in fatal Lithonia gas station shooting

LITHONIA, Ga. — DeKalb County investigators hope surveillance footage from a gas station will lead them to the person who shot and killed a man early Monday morning.

A witness said he heard at least eight shots before a man was found lying dead in the parking lot of the Chevron station on South Stone Mountain Lithonia Road just after midnight.

The witness said the victim was arguing with a group of men before the shots rang out.

Detectives said they found several shell casings on the ground.

Footage from surveillance cameras around the gas station is being examined while police search for witnesses. Police said they do not have any suspects or the name of the victim.
