Car lands in swimming pool at Marietta home

MARIETTA, Ga. — Authorities said a car driver somehow landed in a swimming pool at a Marietta home on Sunday afternoon.

A Channel 2 photojournalist arrived to find a Cobb County emergency crew pulling the car out of the pool at 3860 Sentry Crossing just after 1 p.m.

An initial report indicated the pool had a cover over it and the car rolled atop the cover. The car may have sunk a little ways into the pool, which did still have water in it, the report said.

The couple who was inside the car when it dived into the pool declined to comment.

There were no injuries.
