Captain Herb Emory honored at Sunday's Braves game

ATLANTA — Sunday night Team Georgia, a safe and sober driving coalition, presented their inaugural Captain Herb Emory Community Service Award to Emory’s wife Karen.

The group held a special presentation honoring Emory at Turner Field.

Captain Herb Emory, who died after suffering a heart attack while helping at a car accident in April, was a founding member of Team Georgia.

The group set up the award after his death. They plan to give out the award annually.

Ron Fennell, the Chairman of the executive committee for Team Georgia, presented the award to Karen Emory before Sunday night’s Braves game.
