The Atlanta Braves have placed outfielder Nick Markakis on its COVID-19 injured list after he may have been exposed to the virus.
The Braves said Markakis has tested negative for COVID-19 but he was placed on the list as a precaution because of the potential exposure.
Markakis had originally opt out of the season last month but decided to return to the team earlier this month.
In a corresponding roster move, the team recalled outfielder Cristian Pache. The Braves No. 1 prospect will make his Major League Baseball debut Tuesday night against.
