GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. — Police have identified a man found dead in the middle of the road in Gwinnett County on Tuesday.
The Gwinnett County Police Department said officers were investigating the death at the intersection of Hightower Trail and Donald Road, shutting down part of the neighborhood.
Channel 2 Gwinnett County Bureau Chief Tony Thomas learned that a woman found the body of 23-year-old De’Lano Plummer, of Snellville, in the middle of a two-lane road. Officials said a passenger said it appeared Plummer had either been hit by a car or injured.
Officers said that when they arrived at the intersection, they found the "deceased male lying in the roadway suffering from at least one gunshot wound.”
