Neighbors afraid after bullets fly through homes in Atlanta neighborhood

ATLANTA — Neighbors are afraid someone will get killed in their home or walking the streets after a shooting left a front door shattered.

Channel 2's Michael Seiden spoke to the homeowner, who said she is scared for her family's safety.

"This is not the first time this has happened," she told Seiden on Sunday afternoon.

The shooting happened just before 11 p.m. July 7.

Many residents told Seiden they thought someone was shooting off fireworks but when they walked outside, they discovered shattered windows and bullet holes in the front and the side of their homes.

Another neighbor told Seiden a bullet flew through the front windshield of his car.
