ATLANTA — The Georgia chapter of March For Our Lives and other local organizations joined together to demand the resignation of Rep. Marjorie Taylor Green Friday.
Green has come under fire for her conspiracy theory-laden social media posts, her seeming support of calls to assassinate House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and most recently, a video of her badgering a survivor of the Parkland massacre that left 17 students dead in 2018.

The March For Our Lives organization was born out of the student-led response to the shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Florida.
On Friday, they asked that Taylor Greene resign at a morning news conference.
“Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene is grossly unfit for office, does not represent her constituents, and perpetuates conspiracy theories and falsehoods,” officials with March For Our Lives Georgia said. “Her efforts to erode democracy through the dissemination of disinformation, continued harassment of gun violence survivors, and threats to sitting members of Congress are more than enough to warrant her immediate expulsion from the Capitol.”

The organization goes on to say that if Greene does not resign of her own accord, that Congress seek her immediate expulsion from the House.
“.Even as kids, we know that there is no place for hatred and bigotry in public office. We have also felt the hatred and division her words sow. Rep. Greene’s lack of regard towards her standing in public office is a national embarrassment and disgraces the very state she serves,” officials said.
March For Our Lives is joined by the Georgia Youth Poll Association, GA SDA, Pride In Running, Future Coalition, Atlanta For The Planet, Georgia For The Planet, and Sunrise Movement Atlanta.
