• Man killed in carjacking in southeast Atlanta

    ATLANTA - Police are searching for a suspect in a fatal carjacking on the 2000 block of Phillips Drive in southeast Atlanta. 

    Police say Arthur Curtley, 49, was dropping a woman off in the neighborhood when someone shot him multiple times and stole his car.

    Witnesses say they heard as many as 15 shots around 8:30 p.m. Curtley was hit multiple times.


    Investigators say Curtley's Toyota Camry was found abandoned a short distance away at an auto parts store on Moreland Avenue. 

    The car didn't get far because the tires were flat from the shooting.

    Detectives are talking to the witnesses to determine why the victim was there and if he may have been targeted.
