ATLANTA — Can’t sleep? Always feel tired? Well, you’re not alone. In a recent study from the Atlanta-based Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Georgia was among the top 10 states that are the most sleep deprived.
The Peach State is joined by Alabama, Ohio, and Pennsylvania. According to the study, 1 in 3 adults did not get enough sleep.
Colorado, however, appears to sleep pretty well. That state saw the lowest prevalence of short sleep duration.

It’s also not only adults who are having a hard time getting some shuteye. In another survey, parents reported one in three children were not getting enough sleep in 2020-2021.
According to CDC guidelines, adults should get a minimum of seven hours of sleep each night, but the amount for children varies by age.
