1 dead after being shot at home in southwest Atlanta, police say

ATLANTA — An afternoon shooting in southwest Atlanta has left one man dead and police say they know who shot him.

Officers were called to a home on Sherrie Lane around 1:30 p.m. to find a man suffering several gunshot wounds.

Paramedics pronounced the man, whose identity has not been released, dead on the scene.

Investigators say they have identified everyone involved in the shooting, but are working to determine what led up to the shooting.

Homicide detectives and the Fulton County District Attorney’s Office are determining what charges, if any, will be filed.
