• Police search for gunman in double shooting


    ATLANTA - Atlanta police are searching for the gunman behind a double shooting in southeast Atlanta.

    It happened near Little Street and Reed Street on Wednesday afternoon. Atlanta police were spread out across a neighborhood in the area searching for the shooter. Channel 2’s Amy Napier Viteri spoke to investigators at the scene.

    One victim, Bobby Swint, 33, died late Wednesday night.Police originally reported he had died at the time of the shooting, but later said he was in critical condition with a gunshot wound to his face.

    The other victim was shot in the leg but managed to run to a neighbor who brought him water before ambulances arrived. He is in critical, but stable condition.

    The gunman ran toward Lee Street’s dead end before taking off in a car, police said. They said he may have driven off in one of the victim’s cars. The gunman is believed to traveling in a white Ford Expedition.
