Adult store workers attacked at gunpoint during robbery, deputies say

ROCKDALE COUNTY, Ga. — Workers at a local adult store had to plead with violent robbers while being beaten and terrorized at gunpoint, deputies told Channel 2 Action News.

Rockdale County investigators said the robbery and kidnapping happened inside Starship Store on Highway 138 in Conyers.

"Armed robbery in itself is very violent, but these guys were aggressive and violent. It was pretty brazen," a spokesperson for the Rockdale County Sheriff's Office told Channel 2 Action News.

Officials said the robbers barged in and ordered everyone to the floor. Moments later, they cleared out the register and forced employees to lead them to the safe, where they assaulted both employees.

After being told the safe couldn’t be opened, one of the robbers leaned down near the employees with a gun drawn.

Officials said something eventually scared the criminals and they took off.

Investigators said one of the robbers was wearing a red Ohio State Buckeyes hoodie, and this was not his first time committing a crime.

Investigators now need the community to be on the lookout and help identify the two robbers before they strike again.

They were both wearing black mesh masks over their faces.
