6 arrested after drug raid at popular music studio

ATLANTA — Police arrested six people in a raid at a popular Atlanta music studio, according to police.

Channel 2 Action News was on the scene when police made the arrests at ORG Studios on Donald Lee Hollowell Parkway on Wednesday night.

Police had a narcotics search warrant when they found drugs and money in cars on the scene.

Drugs included Xanax, Ecstasy, marijuana and cocaine, according to Lt. Jeff Cantin with the Atlanta Police Narcotics.

This is the same studio where artists, neighbors, childhood friends and family gathered to say goodbye to rapper Shawty Lo on Sept. 21.

His death made national news, but there's only one place where you'll find people who truly knew Shawty Lo.

Shawty Lo is memorialized in so many personal ways once you cross into Donald Lee Hollowell.

On every corner, you'd find people mourning the loss of the 40-year-old who rose to fame in the early 2000s but never became a stranger to this neighborhood.
