Coroner identifies 3 killed by Amtrak train

STEPHENS COUNTY, Ga. — The Stephens County coroner has released the names of three metro-area residents who were killed by an Amtrak train.

Austell residents Erich Boecklbauer, 23, and Areale Leigh Nunn, 22, died in the crash. Crystal Crews, a 20-year-old from Kennesaw, was also killed.

Authorities said the car they were in was going through an unguarded crossing when it was hit by the train in Toccoa, Ga., located about 96 miles northeast of Atlanta. The train dragged the car about 300 feet, authorities said.
