Man killed in DeKalb double shooting

DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. — A man was killed in a double shooting in Decatur on Sunday.

Neighbors heard several shots fired at 3198 Robin Road, where DeKalb County police found two bodies on the street. Resident Rod Johnson told Channel 2's Amanda Cook he heard at least five shots.

"At first, I thought it was fireworks," he told Cook.

Police said one of the victims later died from his injuries, while the other person, who survived his injuries, was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital. Police have not identified the victims but described them as men in their 20s.

More than a dozen officers swarmed the area in the aftermath of the shooting. Detectives spent hours combing the grass near the area where the men were shot, but police are still looking for the gunman.
