• 1 student killed, 4 hurt in Henry County wreck

    HENRY COUNTY, Ga. - Channel 2 Action News has confirmed a 17-year-old student was killed and four others were injured in a wreck late Tuesday afternoon.
     
    Henry County authorities said Nash Beever of McDonough died after the pickup truck he was driving left the roadway and hit a Tree on Coan Road, just east of Willow Creek Drive in McDonough. The wreck happened around 5:30 p.m.
     
    A female passenger was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital with serious injuries. Three boys were taken to area hospitals with minor injuries.
     
    Locust Grove High School officials have confirmed one of their students died in a wreck Tuesday, but did not release the name of the victim.

    It is unknown whether icy road conditions played a role in the crash.
     
    Henry County authorities said the accident is under investigation.
