1 killed in crash on Cobb Parkway

MARIETTA, Ga. — Cobb Parkway is shut down at Industrial Park Drive after a fatal crash involving a tractor-trailer.

The Marietta Police Department is advising drivers to avoid the area.

Police said the collision involved a tractor-trailer and a work van loaded with carpet.

Marietta police spokesman Officer David Baldwin said the wreck was not weather-related but that DOT would sand down the road so that water used to put out the fire would not freeze over.
