MARIETTA - A local 88-year-old woman was named an official Honorary Miss USA, given her sash and crown and congratulated by Donald Trump thanks to some hard-working high school students.

Members of the community honored and crowned Helen Warren as the first-ever Ms. Second Wind Dreams. The surprise crowning took place at Sunrise at East Cobb senior living facility. Warren's beauty pageant dream was discovered by a group of Pope High School students who orchestrated the special day, along with other dreams in their community.

“This is the best surprise that ever happened to me,” Warren said

In addition to receiving this honor, Warren received a makeover and a professional photo shoot. After her surprise crowning, Trump, who owns the Miss Universe and Miss USA Organization. appeared in a video presentation congratulating her on her new title and honoring her impact.

“Dreams live within us all, and to have an opportunity to help fulfill a dream is an unparalleled experience,” Second Wind Dreams CEO Doreen R. Scascitelli said.

This isn't Warren's first brush with beauty queen fame either. More than 70 years ago, she won the Miss Kinston Lenoir contest in North Carolina.
