• Girl, 3, airlifted to hospital after being found underwater

    GAINESVILLE, Ga. (AP) - A 3-year-old girl found underwater in a backyard pool in Georgia has been airlifted to the hospital.

    The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports that Hall County sheriff's spokesman Stephen Wilbanks says the child wandered into the backyard of a vacation home and was found by family members on Monday afternoon. She was pulled from the water and given CPR before being rushed to a hospital by helicopter.

    Her name has not been released.

    Her condition was not immediately known.
