• Coroner: No foul play suspected after body found by roadside

    Updated:
HAMILTON, Ga. (AP) - No foul play is suspected after a man's body was found on the side of U.S. Highway 27 near Pine Mountain.

The Columbus Ledger-Enquirer reports Harris County Coroner Joe Weldon says the man's name is being withheld until his family is notified.

The body was found Tuesday near the concrete railroad trestle near Pine Mountain.

The coroner says the body will be transported to the crime lab in Decatur for an autopsy. However, Weldon says it looks like the death was from natural causes.

Weldon says the man wasn't from the area and may have been homeless.
