ATLANTA - Channel 2 Action News reporter Jeff Dore boarded bus 502 just north of Jonesboro Wednesday evening. It took an hour and 10 minutes to get to the Atlanta airport, winding through Clayton County neighborhoods, Southlake Mall and Clayton State.

More people got on than off until the airport where shifts exchanged places. Dore did the first-ever, and last live-shots from the moving bus. Photographer Billy Hong used high-tech gear to make it happen. The first live-shot was smooth but the second glitches on the air and they had to bail out. "Live live, die live." For many riders, they said the death of C-Tran is the death of jobs and schooling.

Xpress GA commuter buses is one option for some stranded riders. The buses run weekdays to and from Atlanta. That service is available in Jonesboro and Riverdale.
