CEO Accused Of Sex With Child Prostitute

GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga.,None — The CEO of an Atlanta-based data security company was charged after, police said, he paid for sex with a child prostitute.

The victim was only 12 years old when she was pimped out to Reflex Security CEO Peter Privateer in early March 2008, according to a Gwinnett County police report. The victim said she was taken to a Days Inn on Pleasant Hill Road in Duluth for the arrangement.

Privateer, 56, paid $600 to the victim's 38-year-old pimp, Marcelo Desautu, police said. They said the victim received $200.

Privateer met Desautu, the victim and another woman at the hotel room for at least one night, police said. The woman told detectives she had sex with Privateer while the victim had sex with Desautu. When they were finished, they switched partners, the woman said.

Police used the women's statements, phone records and hotel receipts to arrest the two men. Both were charged with child molestation. Desautu was also charged with pimping and enticing a child for indecent purposes.

On Thursday, Privateer issued a statement through his lawyer, Eric Crawford, denying the allegations.

"It appears that the police may have acted prematurely on information from witnesses with long criminal histories, with no physical evidence, and from individuals who think they may be able to profit by leveling these accusations at a prominent businessman..." Crawford said. "Pete is a devoted husband and loving father of three children, and wants to get into court so that he can clear his good name."
