For many districts, this year marks a return to face-to-face learning, but also continuing COVID-19 protocols.
Jackson County Schools strongly recommends face coverings for individuals who have not been vaccinated and wearing them on the bus. Masks will be available in schools and on buses for those who request them. Students and staff who test positive for COVID-19 will be required to quarantine. Non-essential visitors will not be allowed during the school day.
Jefferson City Schools last year required masks in school buildings. This year, the district will have masks optional but encourage them for unvaccinated students and staff. Social distancing measures will be in place in the classrooms. No visitors will be allowed on school grounds.

Fannin County Schools will offer face-to-face learning for all students pre-K through 12th grade. The district is also offering a limited virtual learning option for high school students who qualify. The reopening plan did not address masks but says all facilities will follow normal cleaning and disinfecting procedures.
