• Alcohol May Be Factor In Wreck That Killed 3

    BARROW COUNTY, Ga.,None - The Georgia State Patrol says three people were killed in a two-vehicle, head-on wreck in Barrow County.

    It happened just before 11 p.m. Saturday along Georgia Highway 82, near Holdenbeck School Road.

    GSP identified the people killed in the crash as David Michael Varnum, 53, of Winder; John Willis Collins, 61, of Winder, and Wanda Jean Collins, 54, of Winder.

    The drive of the other car was not hurt.

    GSP said they believe alcohol was a factor in the wreck.
