ATLANTA,None — Atlanta police are expected to release more information Monday on a child's death during a visit to the dentist.
A 5-year-old boy suffered a seizure during a procedure Friday morning.
No one who works at Children's Dentistry of Camp Creek would speak to Channel 2 Action News, but Atlanta police said the victim had prior medical issues.
Police said they were not sure if the dentist was using anesthetic when the boy had the seizure.
"The child does have some medical issues. We were not told what those issues are. We are working in conjunction with the Fulton County Medical Examiner's Office to determine what happened to the child at the time," said Officer Kim Jones of the Atlanta Police Department.
The medical examiner has not yet released the autopsy report.
