Nominees for the 70th Primetime Emmy Awards, airing live on Sept. 17 (NBC, 8 EDT/5 PDT) with hosts Colin Jost and Michael Che, were announced Thursday morning.

Samira Wiley, star of Hulu's reigning drama series winner and returning nominee, "The Handmaid's Tale," and former "The Blacklist" star Ryan Eggold (who will headline NBC's upcoming "New Amsterdam" this fall) announced this year's nominees.

The Emmy ceremony will take place on a Monday this year because of NBC's Sunday Night Football commitment.
