New beer celebrates Atlanta’s favorite flavor

ATLANTA — Lemon pepper wet isn’t just for wings any more.

The famous Atlanta wing flavor is now the inspiration behind a new offering from Second Self Beer Co.

The Atlanta brewery teamed up with Atlanta Influences Everything — a creative consultancy focused on combining civic, corporate and cultural understanding to harness the influence of Atlanta culture to do good and connect communities — to create Lemon Pepper Wet Sour Beer.

The new Berliner Weisse is made with black pepper, white pepper, vanilla, lemon, meyer lemon puree and pineapple.

It’s available on draft at the brewery’s Westside taproom.

Fifty percent of all profits will benefit Atlanta Influences Everything’s Careers of Tomorrow Program, which aims to encourage young people in the Atlanta Public School System to explore new careers emerging from the growth of the internet and social media.
