HENRY COUNTY, Ga. — Search crews were out on foot, on ATVs and in boats Friday, searching for a missing grandfather who disappeared from hospice care more than a week ago.

Timothy Osborne, 58, has early-onset dementia and hasn’t taken his medication in days. He was in hospice care at his home on Peeksville Road in Locust Grove.

His wife, Kelly Osborne, told Channel 2's Rikki Klaus that Osborne walked out of the house 10 days ago, Feb. 5, while she was taking a quick shower. He hasn't been seen since.

"Every night, every day we’re out there, somebody’s out there walking the woods or the streets. We’ve begged everybody in the community to help us find him, and nobody’s seen him," Kelly Osborne told Klaus.

His son has shut down his business to search full-time for his father. On Wednesday, family members found Osborne’s tennis shoe and hat in a nearby lake. Osborne’s son also found his father’s missing jacket in the woods.

TRENDING STORIES:

Hundreds have gone out over the past week and a half to help search, using every resource available. On Friday, a neighbor even flew a drone over a reservoir across the street.

"It's just overwhelming, the area that needs to be searched," Timothy Osborne's brother-in-law, Jeremy Miller, said.

The woods in the area are dense and there's a lot of water around, but family and friends say the community's come together to help them in a way they've never seen before.

"We're being hopeful, and everybody's trying to do everything they can, and if anybody can help out, anything's helpful," Miller said.
