Jones Lifts Red-Hot Sun Past Storm

Uncasville, CT -- (Sports Network) - Asjha Jones scored 20 points as Connecticut edged Seattle, 80-76, at Mohegan Sun Arena.Amber Holt added 15 points and five rebounds for the red-hot Sun, who have won six straight games and sit atop the WNBA's Eastern Conference. Jamie Carey netted 12 points and Tamika Whitmore finished with 10. Sue Bird had a game-high 24 points for the Storm, who have dropped two of their past three contests and fell one-half game behind San Antonio for the top spot in the Western Conference. Swin Cash chipped in with 16 points off the bench, while Yolanda Griffith contributed 12 points.
