UPDATE - March 19th

Well, the opening rounds are complete and I have bragging rights in the Klein household. With each correct pick counting as "one point", here are the following totals:

Yours truely: 29

Cortney Klein: 24

Carter Klein: 24

The kiddies had a rough 'West' bracket with only two winners and while I respect the picks of Long Beach State and Temple making it to the Final 4, both were bounced in the opening round.

It is that time of year. A time to watch the NCAA basketball tournament on your computer and then hit the "Boss" button on your keyboard when co-workers walk by your desk. (Don't forget to turn off the sound!)

This year, I thought I would show off my hoops knowledge and fill out a bracket against two people who want nothing more for me to lose: Cortney and Carter Klein, two fun-loving kids, 7 and 4, who wanted pick teams despite not knowing the difference between the No. 1 overall seed Kentucky Wildcats and the eight-seeded Kansas State Wildcats.

My Final 4:

Kentucky - Missouri - Florida State - North Carolina

Champions:

Kentucky

Cortney's Final 4:

Duke - Missouri - Ohio State - Temple

Champions:

Ohio State

Carter's Final 4:

Kentucky - Long Beach State - Florida State - Purdue

Champions:

Florida State

Bottom line, if my 4-year-old gets it right that Long Beach State is heading to New Orleans and will play in the Final 4, he's going to anchor the 6 p.m. sports for me that night.

Bragging rights are on the line. Let me know what you think!
