Three different quarterbacks. Three different fines for roughing. Less than two full seasons in the NFL.
Ndamukong Suh is as feared as any player in the league, but the “D” word could be forever linked to his name and I’m not talking about playing in Detroit.
Players think Suh is “dirty.”
Falcons wide receiver Roddy White told Jeff Schultz of the Atlanta Journal Constitution after Sunday’s game, “I lost a whole lot of respect for 90 [Suh] today, and also 92 [Cliff Avril], the [bleep] they were doing when Matt got hurt. That was unacceptable. … Like 92 was kicking [Ryan’s] feet, saying, ‘Get him off the field.’ We don’t do stuff like that. We don’t rally over guys when they get hurt. It was just inappropriate behavior. I mean, ‘Get the cart’? Are you serious? Come on. When you compete, you never want to see a guy get hurt.”
Monday, Suh had a chance to respond. “I’m not even near their quarterback, so how am I going to trash talk somebody who has a medical staff that’s all around them. If you look at that play, I didn’t cause that quarterback to come down. If you look at it, to me it’s ‘karma.’ For all the bad stuff they’ve done in the past, their offensive lineman hurt their own QB. So I’ll leave it at that.”
“Karma?” Are you serious?
I have always enjoyed the way Suh has played the game. The reigning NFL Defensive Rookie of the year goes hard 100 percent of the time. He’s physical and opposing offenses are always wondering where he is on the field, but saying a fellow member of the NFL had it coming is ridiculous.
If Ryan was hit in the head and lay motionless on the ground, would that be “Karma” too?
Do me a favor Suh, let your play do the talking and oh yeah, try not to get fined.
