Thanks for reading.. this is for my latest blog
The Penn State board of trustees fired head coach Joe Paterno.
They also fired school president Graham Spanier.
However, wide receivers coach Mike McQueary will wear a headset Saturday, and be on the sidelines when the Nittany Lions play Nebraska or in the press box.
How can this be?
McQueary claims he saw former Penn State assistant coach Jerry Sandusky rape a 10-year-old boy in a Penn State football shower in 2002.
Did McQueary stop the attack? Did he call the police? No, he called his daddy.
This was in 2002 and since that horrific day, McQueary has seen Sandusky hundreds, if not thousands of times. How? The grand jury investigating Sandusky found that he was given an office, a parking pass and other amenities as part of his 1999 retirement package. There are various reports that he had access to the weight room and was seen there as late as last week.
Why was Joe Paterno fired?
He did not report what happened in 2002 to police.
Mike McQueary didn't either.
He is still going to coach and I'm sure after the game, he will still call perspective recruits.
After all, he's still the recruiting coordinator.
