Chanukah Wonderland while many metro Atlanta families celebrated the Christmas holiday, Jewish families experienced the history and traditions of Chanukah. Chanukah, also known as the festival of lights, tells the ancient story of light overcoming darkness. It's a story that could very well be told in a classroom, but People 2 People producers found a multi-media history lesson that left them wanting more.

Georgia Ovarian Cancer Alliance ovarian cancer is the deadliest of all gynecologic cancers. That's why the Georgia Ovarian Cancer Alliance is preparing to launch an innovative educational program that brings future health care professionals face to face with ovarian cancer patients and survivors. The Survivors Teaching Students: Saving Women's Lives event will bring together survivors, ovarian cancer patients, caregivers and family members. These advocates have been invited to actually go into the classroom and talk to Emory medical students about the symptoms and risk factors of ovarian cancer with the hope that those medical school students will one day be able to diagnose the disease in it's earlier, most treatable stages. The program is scheduled for Wednesday, January 25, 2012 from 2pm-4pm at Emory Medical School. For more information visit the website. GA Ovarian Cancer.org

March of Dimes GA Chapter: March for Babies this year, March for Babies walkers around the country, including Georgia, raised more than 100 million dollars. That money goes to fund March of Dimes research and programs like the Neo-Natal Intensive Care Unit at Atlanta Medical Center. We are thankful for the staff at Atlanta Medical Center and all they do for thousands of babies born too soon and their familes. It's never too early to sign up for the 2012 March for Babies. The walk happens Saturday, April 28, 2012 at the Georgia World Congress Center. For more information visit the website. March of Dimes.com/Georgia
