This week atmospheric storms were few and far between, so we turned our sights to a solar storm. Scientists earlier in the week detected a massive solar flare and predicted it was headed toward earth. Indications were the electromagnetic charged particles would have an impact on satellite communications, gps systems and could possibly disrupt power grids.
