Icy roads reported across metro Atlanta

ATLANTA — Icy patches popped up on roads across metro Atlanta Friday as temperatures hovered near freezing.

The Georgia Department of Transportation reported several intersections with ice. Crews were working to treat the areas with salt, officials told Channel 2.

The areas involved include:

• The exit ramp from Interstate 285 westbound to Roswell Road
• SR 155 south at Clairmont Road in DeKalb County
• Freedom Parkway near Ponce de Leon in northeast Atlanta
• Haynes Bridge Road at North Milton Parkway in north Fulton County

Drivers are urged to use caution in the areas and anywhere they see water on roadways this morning.
