The National Weather Service in Birmingham has issued a Dense Fog Advisory, which is in effect until 4 AM CST Friday. * VISIBILITY...less than one half of a mile and near zero at times. * IMPACTS...hazardous travel due to very poor visibility. Motorists may encounter sudden decreases in visibility and should plan extra time for travel if heading out tonight or the early morning. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... A Dense Fog Advisory means visibilities will frequently be reduced to less than one quarter mile.
