Generally 1/2 to 1 inch, mainly on grassy surfaces, with locally higher amounts possible. * WHERE...North and west of a line from LaGrange to Jonesboro to Lawrenceville to Hiawassee, in north and central Georgia. This includes the Atlanta metro area. * WHEN...From 5 AM Friday to 7 AM EST Saturday. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Snow accumulations will be dependent on temperatures and precipitation intensity. Some areas could receive a quick 1/2 inch or more with any heavier bands that set up. Temperatures are expected to remain above freezing for most areas until Friday evening. A few slick spots could develop on area roadways, especially on bridges and overpasses. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
