ATLANTA -- Rapper T.I. played Philips Arena Sunday night. It was his final concert before he's scheduled to report to a federal prison at Forrest City, Ark.. T.I. must report to the prison on Tuesday.T.I., whose real name is Clifford J. Harris Jr., was sentenced to a year and a day in prison for a federal weapons charge. He asked a court Thursday to let him remain free while he seeks placement in a minimum-security prison closer to his Atlanta home, but that request was denied the next day by U.S. District Judge Judge Charles A. Harris claimed prison officials miscalculated his criminal history in a pre-sentencing report that said he had a "serious history of violence." His lawyer called a 2003 incident a "scuffle" with a mall cop.Lawyer Donald F. Samuel said he would continue to ask the federal Bureau of Prisons to re-classify the music star.T.I.'s sentence included 1,500 hours of community service. He's served over 1,000 hours of that over the past year making appearances at schools and churches in addition to mentoring at-risk kids.

The MTV reality show, "T.I.'s Road To Redemption," followed the Bankhead native as he performed much of that community service. He addressed the show and the service Sunday night."I'm doing the best I can man to get out there and put some positive on these young kids minds," T.I. told the crowd. "I'm trying my best, I need ya'll help though. Speaking of "Road To Redemption," it really means alot to me to get out there in the hood and put my hand on some of these children. Alot of people are scared of them, they don't scare me."One of the kids that T.I. helped mentor in the show, Pee Wee, joined T.I. on stage for a few songs.The rapper is scheduled to report by noon Tuesday to the Federal Correction Institution at Forrest City, Ark.
